In a COVID-19 testing site day officers have different responsibilities as compared to the night officers, and it’s very important to understand the difference between these roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure you are wearing appropriate uniform as approved by your line manager.
- Arrive to site 15 minutes before scheduled start time. Register and log your name in the office to pick up a radio.
- Ask the site supervisor for a quick brief and introduction of site, and the positions that needs to be secured at all times.
- Day officers mainly have three positions to cover, Entrance, Exit and Parking and these positions need to be manned and secured at all times.
Officer stationed in the Entrance.
- Enforce face-covering and masks (over 3-year-olds)
- Customers must use hand sanitiser before entering the site.
- Check for QR code Appointment and let them inside.
- Check for ID card (Under 16-year-olds must have an adult with them at all times).
- No photography at all times for everyone, including the staff.
- Not eat or drink at the entrance.
- No use of personal phones at all times.
Officer Stationed in the Exit
- Ensure a one way system is in place.
- No one must enter the site from the exit door, guide them towards the entrance, to ensure a one-way system.
- Ensure that everyone is wearing face covering whilst on site, and to ensure that the mask is not below the nose.
- No photography at all times for everyone, including the staff.
- No use of personal phones at all times.
- No eating or drinking at the exit.

– Continuously watch out for deliveries and collections by contractors.

- Radio-in to the site lead regarding entrance to the parking for the contractors to authorize entrance.
- No-one must leave the site within working hours, and if operatives are seen leaving the building, you must radio-in to the site lead to inform them and authorize the leave.
- Do not let anyone inside without authorization, must always ask for ID and radio-in to the site lead for authorization.
- No photography at all times for everyone, including the staff.
- No eating or drinking at the parking zone.
- No use of personal phones.
